The Firepush editor now includes a built-in file manager.

This is something that you can use to browse, select and upload images or documents that you want to include in your email.

Here are a few snapshot features of the Firepush Editor file manager:

  • Search, upload and organize files

  • Import files

  • Create folders

  • Preview and insert images into your message

When you open the file manager, it will cover the entirety of your screen, allowing you to search through your files with ease.

At the top of the screen, you’ll notice tabs. These tabs will help you to navigate through the file manager to access spaces to upload, import, and search through your files.

Depending on your personal preferences, you can view the file manager in grid or list view.

How can you access the file manager?

There are several instances when you can access your file manager.

1. Browse. When you want to insert an image into your email, you’ll notice a browse button. When you click this you’ll be taken to the file manager where you can choose an image to drag and drop into your template.

2. Change an image. If you’d like to update or change an image that has already been inserted into your email.

How do you upload files?

One of the easiest, and quickest, ways to upload a file into the Firepush file manager is to drag it from your computer and drop it into the Firepush window. You can do this one image at a time, or, to speed up the process, you can use the multi-file upload function. Alternatively, you can use the upload button to upload an image into the file manager.

At the moment, on the Firepush Editor, you can upload a file that is up to 20MB large. There are also no limits on the types of file that you can upload. If you’re working with a team and would like to set your own upload limits on file size or type, you can do this too.

Important to note! If you are uploading an image that is wider than 1800 pixels, the integrity of the image may be altered upon import, most noticeably in its colors. To avoid this, you may want to consider only uploading images no wider than 1800 pixels.

How to browse or search files on the file manager

To make finding your images or documents easier, you can organize content in the file manager by name, date, size, or type. You can do this by clicking on the labels at the top of the list.

When you see the arrow icon next to a label, this indicates that this is the filter currently being used. It will also tell you the order of filtering, whether it be ascending or descending.

For a quick search in a specific folder, tap on the lens icon. This will allow you to filter results on the fly.

How to use and organise your files

There are two primary actions you can take with any file in your Firepush file manager:

  • Insert and preview files

  • Delete files and folders (folders can only be deleted when they’re empty)

To access these options, simply move your cursor over your chosen file or folder and click. You’ll then see all of your options on the right-hand side of the Firepush editor.

Deleting multiple files at once is easy too. Simply click on the checkboxes to select them, and choose the delete button on the right-hand side.

If you’re dealing with lots of files on a regular basis, it can help to organise them.

You can do this by adding folders to your file manager. Simply click on the ‘add folder’ icon.

Just like on your desktop, you can name your folders using upper and lower case letters, numbers, spaces, periods, hyphens, and underscores. To find your parent folder, find your way to the top tabs and click on the home icon.
