If you have existing email subscribers that you want to import to Firepush, you can do this easily via our email subscriber list upload form. It’s simply a case of filling in a few fields and attaching your list of subscribers in .CSV format.

However, before you upload any existing email subscribers, you must ensure that you’ve collected them in a GDPR-compliant way, so as to protect your business from expensive fines, and to stop your emails being marked as spam.

The GDPR stands for the General Data Protection Regulation. It’s all about keeping E.U. citizens’ data safe and using their data in the right way. When you collect, process and store the personal data of anyone that resides in the E.U., you must have a lawful basis for doing so. Read more about the GDPR.

In respect to email marketing, the lawful basis for collecting, processing and storing data is usually ‘consent’. So if you’re planning to promote your store and its products to your email subscribers, you must get express permission first and ensure that your subscribers have willingly opted-in to receive your communications.

When you fill out our email subscriber list upload form, you’ll see that we ask you to specify how you’ve met GDPR compliance when you collected your existing subscribers.

Once you’ve submitted the form, it can take up to two working days to upload lists of more than 1,000 subscribers to your Firepush subscriber database. If your list has fewer than 1,000 subscribers, we’ll upload them as soon as possible.
